She’s powered by two 450 HP Mercury engines, that allows the boat to travel at a maximum cruising speed of 40 mph She’s spacious and allows for up to 6 anglers to fish in comfort, without tangling lines. A live bait well will keep your bait alive and kicking, so you can just focus on the fishing. If the sun gets a bit too hot, the t-top will provide shade.

Captain John Jackson Jr. will take you after a wide range of excellent fish in this area. You can target Amberjacks, Cobias, Barracuda, Jack Crevalles, Kingfish, Permits, Snappers, Groupers, Sharks, Tarpon, and many other species. To land these big boys you can try several different techniques, like spinning, bottom fishing, and drift fishing, all while using light or heavy tackle. 

The Silver King is one of the stars of the show with Reel Smoker and it can be targeted year-round, however, the best fishing for Tarpon in this area is between March and July.

Live bait is either prepared before you arrive or caught during the trip, but always included in the price. All rods, reels, and tackle needed will be provided by the captain. There’s no minimum age for kids with Reel Smoker and anglers of all ages and skill levels are invited to join them on this exciting fishing adventure!i

The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary is home to a great variety of amazing creatures. Since 1990, the Sanctuary protects more than 2900 square nautical miles of the Florida Keys coastal and ocean waters.

On your day out with the crew, you'll start off by fishing for live bait, then you will be able to target a range of local species, such as Tarpon and Permit, as well as Cobia, Jack Crevalle, Snapper, Grouper, and Sharks.

Explore the nearshore reefs and wrecks instead and you’ll hook into Cobia, Snapper, Barracuda, and Amberjack.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Florida fishing trip without the opportunity to go after Tarpon. Capt. John has you covered during the "Silver King" season and also provides specialized trips catering to landing this famous beast!

Climb aboard their 26’ Barker, a brand-new state-of-the-art fishing machine. You’ll be able to go nearshore, offshore, and backcountry fishing, as well as hit the Florida Keys sanctuaries. She has a great, dry ride, powered by a 350 HP Mercury engine, allowing you to cruise at a maximum speed of 40 knots. Her second stage tower lets the captain spot the catch a great distance away. A live bait tank is there to keep your bait spry and kicking.

one of our professional guides will be your guide and instructor on this excellent fishing adventure. With him, you will target a variety of fantastic fish like Tarpon, Bonefish, Gag, Goliath, and Broomtail Groupers, Mangrove and Mutton Snappers, Jack Crevalles, Kingfish, and many others you may run into. bottom fishing and spinning, with light or heavy tackle.

Tarpon can be targeted throughout the year, but the best fishing for Silver King is from March through July.

This trip departs in the afternoon and will fish through the sunset. A variety of species can be targeted but the harbor holds the greatest concentration of Tarpon during sunset.

4 Hour Trip - Sunset Tarpon

This trip is perfect if a half day trip just isn't enough time to get your fish on. You will target a variety of species like Mahi Mahi, Barracudas, Amberjacks, Cobias, Jack Crevalles, Kingfish, Permits, Mutton and Mangrove Snappers, and others you may run into. The charter will supply you with all the needed gear.

3/4 Day Trip (AM)

This exciting trip will take you after a variety of species you can choose from like Cobias, Amberjacks, Goliath Groupers, Kingfish, Permits, Jack Crevalles, Snappers, Mahi Mahi, Sharks, and others you may run into. The captain will supply you with the necessary equipment.

3/4 Day Trip (PM)

Departure times for this trip are flexible, contact the captain in advance. This trip allows you to target a wide range of gorgeous local fish like Cobias, Wahoos, Mahi Mahi, Goliath Groupers, various Snappers, Sharks, Jacks, Kingfish, or many others! The captain will supply you with all the necessary gear for this trip.

Full Day Trip

This trip will take you to the famous Marquesas Keys, located 25 miles west of Key West. Enjoy the gorgeous nature as you go after Tarpon, Permits, Cobias, Barracuda, various Sharks, as well as several species of Snappers and Groupers, along with other species you may run into.

Full Day Trip - Marquesas

Fish for 4 hours in the morning before taking a break through the hottest part of the day. After the break, you'll return to fishing at 4:30 PM and keep fishing through the sunset. This trip is designed to take advantage of peak feeding times for the Silver King, but you can choose to target other species as well.
